Hearing connects people. It's a wonderful but fragile sense. Together, let's preserve it. - Jean-Pierre Meyers, President of the Fondation Pour l'Audition.

Created in 2010 as a prefiguration association by three ENT surgeons under the impetus of Françoise Bettencourt Meyers, Jean-Pierre Meyers and the Bettencourt Schueller Foundation, the Fondation Pour l’Audition has been recognized as a public utility since 2015, and works daily to advance the cause of hearing health.

Its ambition is to federate talents with the aim of advancing the cause of hearing and helping deaf and hard-of-hearing people live better everyday lives.

The Foundation’s mission is threefold: to support research and innovation in order to embody other possibilities and thus advance the cause; to improve the daily lives of deaf and hard-of-hearing people; and to mobilize public opinion through prevention and awareness-raising to protect everyone’s hearing capital.

Hearing loss is a major social issue. Yet it remains little-known, neglected and taboo. To solve it, we need to bring together research, support for deaf or hard-of-hearing people and prevention, to ensure that deaf or hard-of-hearing people have equal opportunities in terms of education, access to healthcare, culture and the workplace.
