The Fondation de l'Avenir aims to accelerate research in the healthcare field.

Set up in 1987, the Foundation was created to meet the needs of surgeons working at the Porte de Choisy clinic in Paris (now the Institut Mutualiste Montsouris), who are committed to research to develop new techniques, improve their patients’ prognosis and enhance their post-operative care.

The first funds were donated to the Foundation by mutual insurance companies, and it was recognized as a charitable organization in 1988.

Driven by clinical research and innovation in healthcare, the Foundation seeks to build bridges between fundamental medical research and all healthcare players, understood in the broadest and most multidisciplinary sense: caregivers, doctors, surgeons, biologists, engineers, etc., in all establishments or at home and in all regions.

The Foundation benefits both healthcare professionals and users, through its actions to fund and promote multidisciplinary medical research and researchers into new techniques, practices and organizations, throughout France and sometimes Europe.

The Foundation’s primary motivation is to create a perpetual loop between Research, Care, Support; to help disseminate health-related information and knowledge, and to advance medicine for all.
