Erik Orsenna

Sponsor of the 22nd edition of UNESCO Sound Week

An economist by training (raw materials, international finance), Erik Orsenna spent eight years in ministerial and presidential cabinets, serving as cultural advisor to François Mitterrand, before joining the Council of State.

For 15 years, he has been involved in companies involved in the necessary transitions (energy, recycling).

Erik Orsenna is also a writer, Goncourt Prize 1988, author of biographies and reports particularly on water.

Member of the French Academy since 1998, ambassador of the Pasteur Institute, he is also founder of an association for the defense of rivers.

In addition, he has participated for ten years, as a reciter, in numerous musical shows.
