This branch of the competition is open exclusively to the UNESCO Associated Schools Network.
The “When Sound Creates Image” school competition, in collaboration with UNESCO, is back for a 4th edition!
With original music by singer, composer and musician Thomas Dutronc, we’re inviting students (from kindergarten to high school) from ASPnet schools to create a short film lasting 1 minute and 42 seconds.
The theme of this year’s event isListening to each other“.
Focusing on hearing and vision, this competition aims to enable learners to appreciate the richness and diversity of our sensory abilities in a new way, and to develop a range of cognitive, social and emotional skills that are essential for engaging with the world as responsible and compassionate global citizens to invite students to explore the multiple relationships of sound and image. It also aims to raise awareness of the need for attentive listening as a trigger for visual creativity.
Teachers are invited to submit their students’ short films via Wetransfer. A school may submit more than one video, provided that the student authors are different.
