For each edition of its flagship event, La Semaine du Son calls on one or two emblematic personalities from the world of sound, sound quality or music, who are also keen to convey its messages and share them with their audience.
Since 2004, the 21 editions of La Semaine du Son, renamed UNESCO Sound Week in 2019, have been successively sponsored by Pierre Tchernia and Maxime Leforestier, Didier Lockwood, Coline Serreau, Emilie Simon, Caroline Cartier, Raymond Depardon and Claudine Nougaret, R.Murray Schafer, Pierre Boulez, Jacques Attali, Jacques Weber, Jean-Claude Casadesus, Costa-Gavras, José van Dam and Dr Shelly Chadha, Michel Drucker, Jean-Michel Jarre, Jordi Savall, Rokia Traoré, Natalie Dessay, Ibrahim Maalouf, Roberto Alagna, Thomas Dutronc, André Manoukian and the Orchestre Pasdeloup.
The XXII edition of the UNESCO Week of Sound, to be held from January 20 to February 2, 2025, will be sponsored by Erik Orsenna, writer and member of the Académie Française and Kendji Girac, singer and guitarist.
