France Télévisions , also known as France TV, is a national programming company created in 1992, which manages the activities of public television in France, from production to broadcasting.

A key player in France’s social and cultural life, France Télévisions, through the quality and richness of its programming, reaches nearly four out of ten French viewers every day, reaffirming its position as France’s leading audiovisual group in terms of audience. In addition to image quality, France Télévisions pays particular attention to the sound quality of its programs. Respect for viewers’ listening comfort has always governed its strategic choices.

 

France Télévisions has been headed by Delphine Ernotte since 2015.

France Télévisions comprises : – 6 national metropolitan channels(France 2, France 3, France 4, France 5, France Ô and France Info), the France 3 regional network and the 9 television and radio stations of the overseas 1re network. – Several subsidiaries for production (France TV Studio, France 2 Cinéma and France 3 Cinéma), communications (France Télévisions Publicité) and a subsidiary specializing in the management of derivative rights, France Télévisions Distribution. – A corporate foundation, responsible for promoting the Group’s cultural initiatives, art sponsorship, support for the new scene, the emergence of young artists and forward planning for the future of television.
