The Collège National de l'Audioprothèse, partner of the 18th UNESCO Sound Week

The purpose of this association of members elected by competition is to:

  • to bring together hearing-aid acousticians who have taken part, are taking part or are likely to take part in the preparatory courses for the state diploma in hearing-aid acoustics, thus providing the directors of the preparatory courses for the state diploma in hearing-aid acoustics with a competent teaching body in the field of prosthetic audiology.
  • Specialized in the field of prosthetic audiology, the College is in charge of
  • study teaching programs and professional practice methods
  • to promote and reward research in Prosthetic Audiology.
  • to facilitate the acquisition and development of a fundamental and applied scientific culture in the field of audioprosthetics.
  • organize and participate in post-graduate vocational training.
  • to ensure the technical, scientific, educational and ethical quality of the hearing aid profession, and to represent and defend the ethical and moral interests of the hearing aid profession.

To this end, the Collège National d’Audioprothèse may initiate or join in any legal, judicial or administrative action designed to defend the interests of the profession or any of its members. The Collège National d’Audioprothèse is in close and permanent liaison with public authorities, professional associations, federations, unions and learned societies grouping together French doctors and healthcare professionals in the field of Audiology, the science which studies hearing, balance and associated disorders. The Collège National d’Audioprothèse must also protect the public who use the professional services of an audioprosthesist in France. It must do everything in its power to ensure that every audioprosthetist authorized to practice in France complies with the regulations governing his or her practice, and does so within an ethical and deontological framework.
