As part of the 22nd Semaine du Son, the film Saint Ex was screened on the evening of Thursday January 23rd, with comments from director Pablo Agüero and sound engineer Francis Wargnier. Pablo Agüero explained that one of the very first books he ever had was The Little Prince, and that making a film about Saint Ex was an obvious tribute. Francis Wargnier revealed the fascinating details of the making of the film and how the work to give each object a signature sound had been carried out. The audience was very enthusiastic, especially Erik Orsenna, patron of this Semaine du Son, who has a part of his family from Latin America. This highly poetic film evoked memories for him, and in particular the flight of the condor, which was something of a madeleine de Proust.
