Produced by composer Sofiane Messabih and the association Le Petit Kollectif, this musical exhibition interweaves readings of letters between Courbet and those closest to him with clarinet pieces.
Exchanges with his sister, life in Ornans, the Franco-Prussian war… in twenty-three minutes, the sound composition revisits the key moments in Courbet’s life in the region, “breathing life back into this place, which is now no more than a showcase for Courbet’s artistic creation”, as Benjamin Foudral, director of the Pôle Courbet, explains.
